Circle of Security™

Circle of Security™, specialized training on the psycho-intervention model for those working with young children and their caregivers, is offered to early childhood mental health clinicians including social workers, clinical counselors, psychologists, psychiatrists and other licensed professionals in New Mexico. Intensive training includes assessment and treatment planning with families and children.

Child Trauma Academy

CYFD has been provided the privileged opportunity for select staff to become certified in the Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics (NMT) or the Neurosequential Approach to Caregiving (NAC) by Bruce D. Perry, M.D., Ph.D. and his colleagues at The Child Trauma Academy. This year CDD staff will join other New Mexico professionals selected for this specialized training opportunity.

Early Childhood Consultation

Early Childhood Consultation was developed to support professionals providing training and technical assistance to early childhood teachers, therapists, administrators, and parents for better service for children. The two day training was followed with on-going conference calls with recent trainees, working withing communities of practice for sustainable support within training cohorts.
