Family Services

Supporting families with loved ones who have autism spectrum disorders is both valued and practiced in the mission and work of the Autism Programs. Our staff believes that families know their loved ones best and that it takes collaboration between family members and autism professionals to gain successful outcomes for individuals with ASD. We have staff members who, through phone and electronic communication, serve as resource specialists to help families with problem solving individual issues or systems navigation.

Families are welcome at all Autism Program training, and our training team consults family members while developing curriculum. Families whose children are receiving Adaptive Skill Building services receive monthly check in calls from Family Services staff. Family Service staff is available to participate in discharge planning teams for children coming out of residential placement.
